Clock Out Calculator
Find the time you should clock out based on when you started, how long you need to work, and any unpaid break. Overnight results are clearly marked.
How the Clock Out Calculator works
Enter when you clocked in, the work duration you need to complete, and any unpaid break. The calculator adds work and break time to your start time and shows the finish time.
How to calculate clock-out time
Clock-out time = clock-in time + required work duration + unpaid break
Paid breaks are already part of worked time and should not be added. Add only break minutes that extend the time between starting and leaving.
Clock-out time example
If you start at 8:30 AM, need to work 8 hours, and take a 30-minute unpaid lunch, add 8 hours 30 minutes to the start. You should clock out at 5:00 PM.
Overnight clock-out times
A shift can finish after midnight. Starting at 10:00 PM and adding 8 hours with no break produces 6:00 AM the next day. The result card labels next-day finishes clearly.
Common clock-out questions
Do I add lunch to my clock-out time?
Add an unpaid lunch because it extends the shift without adding worked time. Do not add a paid lunch.
Can the result cross midnight?
Yes. The calculator wraps the time to the next day and displays a Next day label.
