Hourly Pay Calculator
Estimate gross earnings from an hourly rate and hours worked. Add overtime when needed and see regular pay, overtime pay, and the combined total.
How to calculate hourly pay
Regular gross pay equals hourly rate multiplied by regular hours. Optional overtime pay equals hourly rate multiplied by overtime hours and the entered multiplier. The calculator adds those amounts without estimating taxes or deductions.
Hourly pay example
At $20 per hour, 40 regular hours produces an estimated $800 in gross pay. Adding 5 overtime hours at 1.5 times the regular rate adds $150, for an estimated total of $950.
Hourly pay versus overtime pay
This page starts with general earnings for hours worked. For an overtime-focused breakdown, use the overtime calculator. To total clock-in and clock-out entries first, use the time card calculator.
